The building is being renovated and

some shear walls of the basement

needed to be cut (demolished) and

opened in accordance with the new

floor arrangements at the basement of

the building. It was understood that

this might affect the safety of the

building as shear walls are load

bearing walls. Therefore it was decided

to monitor the movement of the

building along with the vibration levels

during the demolition of these walls.
