The scope of the consultancy work is

carrying out a complete condition

assessment of the building that

includes; conducting a condition

survey, carrying out testing, analysing

observations and test results ,

determining the structural soundness

and providing a professiona l

assessment report for the structural

soundness of the building . The

building is a two storied reinforced

concrete structure built about 70 years

ago. The initial purpose of the building

is unknown but it is currently used as a

commercial branch of BOC. A major

part of the building (in both ground

floor and upper floor) is a single hall

with no partition. Some areas in the

upper floor have not been used in the

recent past.
